Jo Sonja designed a triptych that could be used all year and be especially meaningful to children. She looked up from the dining room table, where she was drawing, just in time to see grand kids heading toward Grandpa’s flowers, which they loved to pick, the youngest ones picking only the blossoms, no stems and knew immediately that is what should surround the Christ Child, especially since the use of flowers is symbolic of the endless succession of generations. She choose to represent the figures as Rag dolls since the simplicity of painting style is especially
enjoyed by children of all ages.
