This contemporary interpretation was meant to become my personal sewing box. The original tine is from the Husfliden in Bergen, Norway. Every symbol and figure used is representative of things that I saw on our last trip to Norway (1995) in some form of decorative art. The people are a wedding couple and their family and farm. Each unit is small so that you can easily adapt this idea to other pieces.
The handcrafted poplar heritage tine measures around 13" long by 10" wide by about 11" tall. Inside there is a divider and are two compartments with wood pinned lids that open to reveal each. Beautiful scrolls on the side as shown. A wood piece worthy of its heritage title.
