This is a small table.  Its surface has a 16" diameter.  The height is approximately 19" tall in table mode, and about 30" tall when the table surface is locked vertically.

This tilt top table is a beautiful piece of furniture that has been expertly turned and crafted from solid Alder.  The top can be locked flat and used as an end table or tilted up as a display.

There is a beautiful old technique for floral and fruit painting on "lace-edged" or pierced tin trays that uses a wax medium (with oils) for edging and highlighting. This old technique was the inspiration for the development of these decorative stroke florals, adapted to the acrylic medium. Of course, there is a Chippendale influence on this old style, especially in the strokes that form the flowers. It is the transparency and texture that is so unique in these strokes.
