Hindeloopen Seascape - JP3402

The idea for this small “traveling " bird cage came from antique wooden ones that we saw in Hindeloopen and the Folk Art museum in Nuremberg, Germany. It can be adapted to many uses from a sewing box, holder for foods or towels & soaps, planter, stationery, etc. This piece teaches a traditional style of Hindeloopen (Dutch) painting. It combines both monochromatic and polychromatic styles, plus a small sample of marbling technique and crackle technique.
