This design reflects a folk artist’s love of design and unique sense of humor. How about a flying carpet powered camel sleigh? This design shows our desire to honor the birth of the Christ Child.
This set includes the blank ornament, color photos and instructions - patterns are etched on the surface for ease and to add dimension to the painting.
Another wonderful outlet for our creative journey, each ornament is done out of mdf and laser cut with intricate detail. The patterns are etched on the surface for ease of painting. If you prefer to not use the etching, it can be painted over with Gesso or Texture paste and then the pattern can be applied - as you prefer.
These design elements originally appeared in our magazine, The Artist's Journal, Issue #4 and our design packet JP1063. If you have either of those items already then you have the instruction for painting this design and can just purchase the blanks.
Unpainted ornament:
The Camel Sleigh ornament is approximately 5.5" tall by 7" wide. As you can see, we've adjusted the sleigh runners slightly from the original for ornament use.
