One of the primary artists responsible for the rebirth of folk art in the 1900's was Peter Ompir. This study features his look and adaption of his techniques. Ompir loved to paint on old items, especially metal objects, so this study has been done on a coffin-lid tray from Western Metalware.
The front of the tray is based Red Earth with a Husk inset. The back of the tray is Antique Brass.
