Jo Sonja's Eureka Seminar General Information

We've completed our 2024 Seminar year and are working towards our program for 2025.  Our current plan is to start our classes in April of 2025 and continue until October.   Please email us if you would like to receive information when the schedule is set.  If you have attended in 2023 or 2024 the information will be sent to you automatically when it is available.

All of our classes are held at our studio in Eureka, a small coastal community centered amongst the towering redwoods of Northern California. 

The nearest airport is the Eureka/Arcata airport. The airport is located 13 miles north of our studio. United Airlines offers direct service to Eureka through Los Angeles, San Francisco and Denver.   Avelo Airlines offers direct service through Burbank.

Several hotels and a variety of restaurants are located nearby. You will be responsible for making your own hotel reservations. Upon acceptance, you will be sent information that will include hotels, rates and contact information.

Important :

  • Please DO NOT mail, Fedex or UPS in applications.   No need to spend the time and incur the cost.   Just fill out the online form, indicate dates that will work for you and submit it online.  If multiple dates work for you PLEASE indicate those to help us accommodate as many students as we can.  Also, please indicate those who you would like to be in class with.
  • Online registration form on our website here:  Must be filled out and submitted if you are interested in a class
  • NO DEPOSIT is necessary to fill out a class request.   Once accepted, a $100 deposit will be due for each class 90 days out from your class.  Balances of seminar fees will be due 30 days before your class.   We will be automatically emailing invoices with payment links at those times.

The most popular hotels with our students are the Clarion By Humboldt Bay and the Red Lion Hotel.  Rates and booking links will be sent with seminar confirmations.
