This year we will be doing three different style studies.  

1.   First will be a study plate probably on a pedestal plate although we may change to a regular plate that can be hung on the wall.  With this piece we will be focusing on flowers highlighted with metallic and iridescences.  

2.  Chippendale Florals.  We will be doing a tin piece and a study of Chippendale flowers (roses) and birds in the traditional style.

3.  Original floral study for the week will be pansies on dark backgrounds.  We encourage you to look for special pieces such as the antique teapot that I have painted here.  We will be providing designs to adapt to your own pieces.  Of course, we will also be choosing a piece that will be available here for you to do if you aren’t able to bring one.   If you do bring your own, please have it sealed and primed prior to coming to class.
